ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, FL – Metronet, the country’s biggest independently-owned, 100% fiber optic internet provider, has announced that the City of Altamonte Springs will soon have access to its ultra-high-speed 100% fiber optic internet, as construction has officially begun. Through a substantial investment, Metronet will fully finance the infrastructure that will connect multi-gigabit fiber optic internet directly to homes and businesses throughout Altamonte Springs and the surrounding areas.
The construction of Metronet’s ultra-high-speed fiber optic internet has officially begun on the west side of Altamonte Springs, near the Springs Oaks area, and is expected to take two years to complete. The first customers will have access to the service this spring as the construction expands rapidly throughout the city. As the construction progresses, interested customers can sign up for presale on metronet.com, which will indicate their interest and prioritize service installation in their area once available. This website also allows customers to be notified once their address becomes available for installation and to access presale.

Metronet trucks will be visible in Altamonte Springs as construction progresses. Residents will receive notifications by mail 30 days before work begins in their neighborhood and additional notifications, such as yard signs, will also be provided.
